Suryakumar Yadav was named the ICC Men’s T20I Cricketer of the Year 2023, a title he previously won in 2022 too. In the photo released by ICC, he is seen holding the prestigious trophy as a part of ICC Men’s T20I Team of the Year. An outstanding player for the Indian middle-order, Yadav had a brilliant run in 2023 scoring 733 runs at an average of 48 in just 17 innings with a phenomenal strike rate of 155.
Yadav receives the award for the second consecutive time, a feat unmatched since its inception in 2021. The person who got it first was Mohammad Rizwan from Pakistan. But Yadav has been so good at playing T20I cricket consistently that now he’s considered one of the world-class T20I players and this is why he has won such a prestigious title again for another year.
Ravindra Jadeja Named in ICC Test Team of the Year
The ICC Test Team plaid cap of the year has been awarded to Ravinder Jadeja, the Indian cricket staff’s most important all-rounder. This cap was awarded to him in the United States at a service where he was given an extra special touch by coach Rahul Dravid.
