They suffered three straight losses in this season of WPL at the hands of Delhi Capitals, Mumbai Indians, and Gujarat Giants. Their opponent UP Warriorz won their first WPL game, then lost to Delhi Capitals in their second game.

Smriti Mandhana-led RCB won the toss and opted to bat first. However, Smriti couldn’t give a solid start to her team. Second opener Sophie Devine added 44 runs with one-down batter Ellyse Perry.

UP Warriorz skipper Alyssa Healy brought their premier spinner Sophie Ecclestone on the attack to break the partnership. Ecclestone didn’t disappoint her skipper and picked the wicket of Devine. Devine made 36 runs off 24 balls with the help of five fours and one six.

New batter Shreyanka Patil played some attacking strokes but got out while smashing a boundary of Ecclestone. Spinner Deepti Sharma dismissed Perry on 52. Wickets continued to tumble and RCB got all-out to 138 in 19.3 overs.
