WPL 2023 Qualification Scenario: How Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) Can Qualify For Playoffs. Smriti Mandhana-led Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) is in the 4th position in the WPL 2023 points table, with just one game to go in the league stage of the campaign. Despite losing their first five matches, RCB managed to register two back-to-back wins and is still in the playoffs race.

To remain in the hunt for the playoffs, they must win their last match at all costs. Currently, Delhi Capitals and Mumbai Indians have already secured their spots, leaving only one place in the next round of the tournament.

The third and final spot in the next round is up for grabs by Gujarat Giants, Royal Challengers Bangalore, and UP Warriorz. However, only the Warriorz can determine their fate. RCB and GG need some other results to fall in their favor to qualify for the playoffs.

How Can RCB Qualify?

RCB has secured victories over UP Warriorz and Gujarat Giants in the tournament. However, they need to beat Mumbai Indians by a big margin to boost their chances of qualifying for the playoffs. Additionally, RCB requires UP Warriorz, who still has to play two games, to lose both their remaining league matches.

RCB does not need Gujarat Giants to beat UP Warriorz by a big margin as that would put them ahead of the Smriti Mandhana-led franchise in terms of Net Run Rate.

RCB’s below-par performances in the first half of the season have left them paying the price. However, there is still hope, provided certain matches end in their favor, to secure a spot in the knockouts.
