Needless to say, a total of four Grand Slams are played annually in tennis and the Australian Open is the first of them.

A total of 128 players will participate in both the men’s singles and women’s singles events, which means that there will be a total of 7 rounds in the tournament, including the final. The Round of 16 is the fourth round and obviously, it’s a knockout tournament from the very beginning. Thus, even the slightest mistake can lead to the elimination of a good player.
