Belarusian tennis player Aryna Sabalenka has defeated Qinwen Zheng in the final of the 2024 Australian Open to successfully defend her title. She has now won the Grand Slam two times in a row and has further solidified her dominance in the tournament. Sabelenka’s route to the final was itself very majestic, as she defeated players like Lesia Tsurenko, Barbora Kejcikova, Amanda Anisimova and Coco Gauff en route to the final. One of the most notable achievements of the Belarusian in her 2024 Australian Open winning campaign was that she did not lose a single set in the entire tournament, which, needless to say, is a great achievement. She became only the fifth women’s tennis player to achieve this feat after Lindsay Davenport, Maria Sharapova, Serena Williams and Ash Barty.
