Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2024 Squad Of All 6 Teams. The Pakistan Cricket Board has opened the registration window for foreign players, setting the stage for the flagship event tentatively scheduled from February 8th to March 19th, 2024. Player category updates include Quetta Gladiators Naseem Shah and Iftikhar Ahmed moving from diamond to platinum, Sarfraz Ahmed advancing from gold to diamond, and Peshawar Zalmi’s Mohammad Haris shifting to diamond from gold. Abbas Afridi and Ihsanullah of Multan Sultans have received promotions to the gold category.
Islamabad United’s Azam Khan and Faheem Ashraf now hold the diamond status, upgrading from gold. Tayyab Tahir of Karachi Kings advanced from silver to gold, and Qasim Akram was promoted to gold from the emerging category. Lahore Qalandars’ Kamran Ghulam and Zaman Khan moved up to gold from silver and emerging, respectively.
However, some players faced demotions, including Mohammad Nawaz (Quetta, Platinum to Diamond), Mohammad Hasnain (Quetta, Diamond to Gold), Haider Ali (Karachi, Platinum to Gold), and Asif Ali (Islamabad, Platinum to Diamond). Also, it’s crucial to highlight that the gold category is the lowest category to which players with international representation for Pakistan can be demoted.
Teams will now submit relegation requests for players before finalizing retentions, providing all franchises with the opportunity to meet the player’s base category after the issuance of relegation requests.
