Pakistan Name 15-Member Squad For T20 World Cup 2024. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced the 15 players chosen for the ICC Men’s Twenty20 World Cup 2024 on Friday, just before the May 25 deadline. The team, led by Babar Azam, consists of five fast bowlers, three wicketkeepers, and four all-rounders.

While most other teams announced their squads by May 14, Pakistan took longer and revealed theirs just before facing England in the second T20I. They had already named an 18-player squad for the series in Ireland and England. Likely, there won’t be many changes to the final 17 players, including those on standby, who will travel to the USA later this month.

Out of the 15 players, Abrar Ahmed, Azam Khan, Mohammad Abbas Afridi, Saim Ayub, and Usman Khan are going to play in their first T20 World Cup. Mohammad Amir and Imad Wasim played in the tournaments in 2016 and 2021, respectively. The remaining eight players were part of the 2022 event in Australia.
