FIFA World Cup 2026 Group A: Complete Schedule, Venues, Dates and Timing in IST. The FIFA World Cup 2026 is scheduled to start on June 12 in Mexico City. Group A consists of the three teams Mexico, South Africa, and Korea Republic, as well as Czechia, with this group kick-starting the largest World Cup tournament in history with a record number of 48 teams and many new and exciting locations for football across Mexico and the USA.

Mexico will host the first match of the tournament against South Africa at Mexico City Stadium, followed by the Korea Republic playing Czechia in Guadalajara for the final fixture of Group A Round 1. The top two teams in Group A will automatically qualify for the round of 32, while the third-place team could still potentially qualify based on results/standings of other groups.

The first match of the World Cup will be at Mexico City Stadium, one of the oldest and most well-known places for playing football throughout history. Guadalajara Stadium will host the remaining two Group A fixtures, including a very important match between Mexico and the Republic. The Czech Republic versus South Africa match will be played in Atlanta, and Monterrey Stadium will host the last match of the group stage: South Africa versus the Czech Republic.
