BCCI’s ₹125 Crore My11Circle IPL Sponsorship Likely to be Scrapped. BCCI suffered another hit on the sponsorship front after losing Dream11 and is about to lose the ₹125 crores with My11Circle, a fantasy gaming platform. This comes on the back of the recent enactment of the Online Gaming Bill, 2025, that prohibits the promotion and advertisement of real-money gaming platforms in India.
Dream11, the largest fantasy sports company in India, had terminated its ₹358 crore sponsorship of the Indian cricket team’s jerseys earlier this week. While both parties have mutually agreed to a smooth exit with no penalties, this ruling comes just before the Asia Cup 2025 and puts the BCCI in a position where it needs to find new sponsors.
My11Circle’s IPL Deal Under Threat
And now, sources in the industry say My11Circle’s title sponsorship of the IPL—valued at ₹125 crores per year and running until 2028—is under threat. My11Circle operates as a real-money fantasy platform and therefore falls under the same prohibitive regulatory limitations as Dream11, thereby preventing the brand from continuing as an associate sponsor of the IPL.
This likely loss adds to the financial blow already dealt to the BCCI. With Dream11 and My11Circle, the board could have accumulated earnings in excess of ₹1,000 crore every year. The loss of both companies and sponsorship deals reduces immediate revenue but creates anxiety as the board looks ahead to future international tours and some major competitions on the horizon, including the Asia Cup 2025 in September and IPL (2026).

BCCI officials have confirmed they are in conversations with various corporates, including those in the automotive and fintech sectors, to plug the sponsorship gap. While companies will likely be announced very soon as replacements, the sudden collapse of two major fantasy sports deals shows just how far-reaching India’s new online gaming regulations are in cricket’s commercial ecosystem.
