ODI World Cup 2023: Don’t Request Me For Tickets At All Through The Tournament, Virat Kohli On His Instagram Story. A day before the first match of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 India’s legendary batsman Virat Kohli took to his Instagram account to make a special request to his friends regarding the World Cup match tickets. The World Cup 2023 will be held across 10 venues in India after 12 long years and the match tickets for the marquee tournament have gone housefull as soon as they were released. 

Virat Kohli requested his friends to avoid asking him for the tickets and enjoy the thrilling games of the world’s biggest cricket tournament from their respective homes. On his Instagram account story, he said, “As we approach the World Cup, I would humbly like to let all my friends know to not request me for tickets at all through the tournament. Enjoy from your home pls.”

Virat Kohli’s wife and famous Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma further replied to Virat’s Instagram story and asked the couple’s friends not to tag her or message her if Virat fails to answer their messages regarding the match tickets, considering the aggressive batsman will be busy playing the tournament and travelling from one city to the other. On her official Instagram account, Anushka Sharma said, “And let me just add… please don’t request me to help if your messages get unanswered. Thank you for your understanding.” 

The ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 tickets created huge chaos as the fans kept waiting in the virtual queues for weeks and even months despite the fact that the tickets were sold out within hours of the release. The BCCI released the tickets in a seven-phase format to avoid chaos make the sale of the ticket process more efficient. However, the fans have openly criticised the Indian board for delayed ticket release and long waiting time.
