IPL 2024 CSK vs KKR: Head-To-Head Stats, Retained, Released Players and Complete Squad. The Indian Premier League is one of the most speculated and largely known cricket leagues in the world. The 2024 IPL will be the 17th edition of the tournament, which started back in 2008. Comprising a set of 10 teams, the tournament is played over nearly 2 months and is scheduled to start on March 22 this season. The tournament will go on till May 26.

Chennai Super Kings IPL History

The Chennai Super Kings are the team with the greatest record and the highest fandom in the IPL. The Super Kings have never let go of their legacy of retaining coach Stephen Fleming and legendary Indian skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni, who have led them to an unmatchable record of qualifying for 10 finals and have also won the trophy five times. They won the trophy in 2010, 2011, 2018, 2021 and 2023 (every time under the captaincy of MS Dhoni).

The team also had an extremely successful run in 2023 after they defeated the defending champions from 2022, the Gujarat Giants, in a historic final.

Kolkata Knight Riders IPL History

Another immensely popular team, the franchise now has eminent teams across all leagues in the world. From the Bangladesh Premier League and Abu Dhabi T10 to Major League Cricket, every major cricket league has a team called Knight Riders. Though the Knight Riders have failed to impress in recent times, they have been the third most successful franchise in the history of the IPL, winning it twice in 2012 and 2014.

Captain Morgan also took the Knights to another great final in 2021, where they lost to the fiercely in-form Chennai Super Kings and since then, KKR has not even made it to the playoffs.
