The 37-year forward previously had an intense and tense relationship with Premier League club Manchester United, both on and off the field. His bitter period at the club with the management and the coach, Eric Ten Hag in particular, only got worse when the five-time Ballon d’Or winner began to be denied a place in the starting XI and majorly started missing game time in the league matches.

His exclusive interview with Piers Morgan prior to the World Cup surprised everyone, much to the chagrin of Manchester United in particular.

All of these situations finally had their result in the form of Manchester United mutually agreeing to let Cristiano leave their club a week ago. The news that was released in the middle of the World Cup has everyone talking on several social media platforms.
