SRH vs RCB: Virat Kohli-Travis Head Handshake Snub Sparks Debate

Virat Kohli-Travis Head Handshake Snub Sparks Debate After SRH vs RCB Clash. A pretty heated moment between Virat Kohli and Travis Head had everyone talking after Sunrisers Hyderabad beat Royal Challengers Bengaluru in IPL 2026. It all kicked off during the post-match handshakes in Hyderabad, right after the final whistle.

So, when the players started lining up, Kohli went over to greet SRH captain Pat Cummins and their opener Abhishek Sharma. But then it looked like he totally ignored Travis Head, who had his hand out for a handshake. Kohli then just kept moving, passing the Australian batter, before continuing to the next person.

The clip spread fast, and yeah, it went viral across social media platforms. Fans had very different takes, some saying Kohli was being aggressive in a competitive way, while others felt the whole thing looked unsporting, kind of deliberate in the wrong way.

SRH Register Dominant Victory Over RCB

This didn’t come out of nowhere either. Earlier in the game, Kohli and Head already had an animated exchange on the field. During RCB’s tough chase, Kohli kept finding boundaries back to back, and he also traded a few words with the SRH opener. Head seemed calm, almost relaxed, during that brief moment, while Kohli looked visibly fired up.

In the end, Sunrisers Hyderabad controlled everything and secured a comfortable 55-run win. Abhishek Sharma was absolutely blazing, smashing 56 runs off just 22 deliveries. Ishan Kishan also had a strong knock, finishing with 79 from 46 balls. Heinrich Klaasen then chipped in during the death overs, and SRH ended up posting a massive 255/4 in 20 overs. Travis Head contributed 26 runs from 16 balls.
