Haris Rauf played a pivotal role, securing three crucial wickets, while Saud Shakeel’s outstanding performance earned him the Player-of-the-Match award. Pakistan successfully started their ICC ODI World Cup match with Mohammad Rizwan and Saud Shakeel leading the charge, posting 286 all out in 49 overs. Despite a valiant effort, Netherlands succumbed, being bundled out for 205 in 41 overs.

The Netherlands demonstrated their cricketing prowess by qualifying for the ODI WC 2023. They won against formidable opponents like the West Indies, Oman, and Scotland. They won three out of five matches during the Super Six stage of the qualifiers.

After defeating Scotland, they solidified their qualification for the 2023 World Cup as the second team to qualify through the qualifiers. The Netherlands has also actively participated in Cricket World Cups from 1996 to 2011, further affirming their cricketing legacy.
