Indians know as much about golf as Americans know about cricket. But for the last three days, people’s interest in this game has increased a lot, and this is because of Indian golfer Aditi Ashok who may be the fourth woman to win a medal in Tokyo Olympics 2021 after Mirabai, Sindhu, and Lovlina.

Aditi is all set for a medal tomorrow in the Toky Olympics Women’s Golf as she maintained a No.2 after another splendid performance in round 3 at the Kasumigaseki Country Club. One more round to go.

According to Tokyo meteorological department, thunderstorms and heavy rain are expected tomorrow, in case round or 4 final rounds get washed out and Aditi can be the first Golfer of India to clinch a medal in Olympics.

Aditi’s splendid performance at the Kasumigaseki Country Club has put her close to a medal, even a gold or silver. No Indian man or woman has ever won a medal in golf since the sport returned to the Olympics in 2016 Rio.

Bengaluru girl Aditi turned professional golfer in 2016 and to date, she won 5 titles including the U.S women’s open in 2019.

India has won five medals including a bronze medal in men’s hockey in the Tokyo Olympics. The world’s biggest sports event started on 23 July and will end on 8 August.
