WPL 2025 Eliminator: Mumbai Indians Beat Gujarat Giants By 47 Runs to Play final With Delhi Capitals: The Mumbai Indians sealed their WPL 2025 final berth by masterminding a ruthless 47-run win over Gujarat Giants in the Eliminator match played at the Brabourne Stadium. In a gripping showdown, it set up a thrilling final between MI and the Delhi Capitals.

Mumbai Indians Innings

Put to bat, MI scored an unbeatable 213/4 within the 20 overs and laid the innings mostly on a spectacular 77-ball innings from 41 runs by Nat Sciver-Brunt, who hung in by a similar contribution of 77 off 50 balls by Hayley Matthews. It was their partnership that made the solid foundation of MI’s innings. Captain Harmanpreet Kaur struck off at 36 in a mere twelve balls, rounding off the job for the team. Danielle Gibson took 2 wickets for the Gujarat Giants.

GG wasn’t concerned about chasing a score thousands of miles away by very disciplined bowling by MI. Dani Gibson and Phoebe Litchfield were able to do their bit by scoring 34 runs with 24 balls and 31 runs with 20 balls, respectively. Because GG eventually fell short by 47 runs to be bowled out for 166 in 19.2 overs. Hayley Matthews was the Mumbai star, using 3 wickets in her 3.2-over spell.

Hayley Matthews (MI): Gorgeous innings set the tone for MI’s innings, 77 runs off 50 balls.
Dani Gibson (GG): Although the loss proved too high in the end, Gibson managed to make a little refuse for 34 runs and 2 wickets for GG.

And with this win, Mumbai Indians now face Delhi Capitals in the WPL 2025 final. We expect it to be an exciting contest for the title of the championship.
