ODI World Cup 2023 Points Table, Most Runs & Most Wickets After PAK vs. SL Match. The ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 is a major tournament with 10 of the best cricket teams from around the world. The tournament started on October 5, 2023. It will finish with the final match on November 19 at Narendra Modi Stadium in 2023, which is where the champion will be decided.
They will first play 45 matches in the group stage, which is like the preliminary round. Each team will get to play 9 matches during this stage. After the group stage, there will be 3 more matches in the playoffs. These are important matches leading up to the final, where one team will become the World Champions.
England did very well against Bangladesh and won by a lot, 137 runs. They had lost to New Zealand earlier, but this time their batters like Joe Root and Dawid Malan scored a team total of 364/9 runs. When Bangladesh batted, England’s bowlers did a great job and stopped them from chasing the target. It was a great comeback for England after losing to New Zealand.
Sri Lanka confronted Pakistan inside the 8th suit of the ICC ODI World Cup 2023, Sri Lanka’s batters’ overall performance was wonderful and Kusal Mendis and S. Samarawickrama both scored centuries, helping the team attain a total of 344/9 runs.
Pakistan had to chase a huge total to win. However, the Pakistan batting line-up of Abdullah Shafiq and Mohammad Rizwan played amazing and both scored centuries. They made it look so easy. Pakistan beat Sri Lanka by 6 wickets. They set a record for chasing the highest total in the ODI World Cup.
