Legends League Cricket Masters 2023 WG Vs AL: Hashim Amla, Jacques Kallis Helped World Giants Defeat Asia Lions. In the Legends League Cricket (LLC) Masters, World Giants were at loggerheads with Asia Lions at West End Park International Cricket Stadium in Doha. World Giants are topping the LLC Masters points table with two wins out of three games. Asia Lions were placed in the second position in the points table with the same number of wins.

Asia Lions won the toss and opted to bowl first. World Giants opener Chris Gayle got run out in the third over of the game. Left-arm pacer Sohail Tanvir removed Shane Watson to give a second blow to Giants. Second opener Hashim Amla and Jacques Kallis batted sensibly and added 105 runs for the third wicket.

Amla scored 68 runs off 59 balls with the help of nine fours and one six. Kallis struck an unbeaten knock 56 off 43 deliveries. Both batters played a pivotal role to help Giants to post 150 on board in 20 overs.

While chasing a competitive total of 151 runs, Lions didn’t have a desirable start as they lost opener Upul Tharanga in the fifth over. However, second opener Tillakaratne Dilshan played a whirlwind knock. He made 37 runs off 28 balls with the help of five fours and one six.

Lions lost Dilshan, Thisara Perera and Misbah-ul-Haq in the middle overs. Skipper Shahid Afridi tried his best to reach his team closer to the target, however, Lions fell short by 21 runs from the target. Word Giants beat Lions by 20 runs. Afridi made 26 runs off 18 balls.

Brief Scorecard: World Giants 150/3 (20 overs) (Amla 68, Kallis 56*, Tanvir 1/31) beat Asia Lions 130 all-out (19.1) (Dilshan 37, Mpofu 3/16, Tino Best 3/20) by 20 runs.
