IPL 2025 Playoffs Confirmed: PBKS vs RCB in Qualifier 1, GT vs MI in Eliminator. The league stage of the Indian Premier League 2025 has come to an exciting conclusion, with four teams securing their spots in the playoffs. Teams that have qualified are PBKS, Royal Challengers Bengaluru, Gujarat Titans, and MI. RCB pulled off an unbelievable win over Lucknow Super Giants after chasing down a daunting target of 228 runs. The victory kept RCB in second place on the points table, which sets up a Qualifier 1 match against Punjab Kings (PBKS).
RCB were successful in one of the biggest successful run chases in IPL history. Led by the captain Jitesh Sharma, who scored 55 runs off 22 balls, and Virat Kohli, who scored a half-century, RCB met the challenge and qualified in the top 2 of the points table.
Shreyas Iyer’s Punjab Kings finished in the top 2 after beating the Mumbai Indians by 7 wickets in Jaipur. This will be PBKS’s first playoff appearance in 11 years, which is a remarkable turnaround for the franchise.
IPL 2025 Playoff Matchups
Qualifier 1: Punjab Kings vs. Royal Challengers Bengaluru, 29th May, 2025, 7:30 PM.
Eliminator: Gujarat Titans vs. Mumbai Indians, 30th May, 2025, 7:30 PM.
Both Qualifier 1 and Eliminator will also be played at the New PCA Stadium in Mullanpur, Chandigarh.

The winning team of Qualifier 1 will automatically qualify for the final. In contrast, the losing team will have to play in Qualifier 2. Both Qualifier 2 and the Final will be played at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad. The playoffs will include teams that are in exceptional form. Meaning that there will be very exciting and competitive matches for the fans at the end of the tournament.
