Men’s Hockey World Cup 2023: Teams, Groups, Full Schedule, Dates, Venues, Time And Live Streaming Details. The 15th edition of Men’s Hockey World Cup will be played in India (Odisha) from January 13 to January 19th. India won the hosting rights of this mega tournament in November 2019 and received direct qualification.
There is a total of 16 teams taking part in the Hockey World Cup 2023. All Teams divided into four groups of four teams each. The winner of each group will directly headway to the quarterfinal while the 2nd and 3rd placed teams from each group will play the crossover round and the winner will go through to the quarterfinals.
India is hosting the tournament for the second consecutive time. The 2018 Hockey World Cup was also held in Bhubaneswar where Belgium won the title, Holland finished runner-up while Australia won the bronze medal . The Indian men’s hockey team will start its campaign against Spain on 13th January at the newly-constructed Birsa Munda International Hockey Stadium in Rourkela .
The Men’s Hockey World Cup 2023 will be live telecast on Star Sports First, Star Sports Select 2, Star Sports Select 2 HD, while fans can watch live streaming of the World Cup 2023 on Disney+Hotstar app .
