Asian Games 2023: Indian Cricket Teams Schedule And Squad. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) recently announced both men’s and women’s squads for the upcoming Asian games to be held in Hangzhou, China which will be played from 23rd of September to 8th of October 2023. The cricket tournament will start on 19th September while the final will be held on the 7th of October.

BCCI announced a men’s side that is a mix of reserves and players who have represented the senior team earlier. The men’s side will be led by Ruturaj Gaikwad. The women’s team is a full-strength side alongside some new faces to be seen. The team will be captained by Harmanpreet Kaur. The men’s event will start on the 28th of September with the final to be played on the 7th of October.

The women’s event will start on the 19th of September with the final to be played on the 27th of September. In the men’s event 18 teams will be competing while in the women’s event, 14 teams will be competing. Matches will be played at the Zhejiang University of Technology Cricket Field, Hangzhou.

Ruturaj Gaikwad (captain), Rahul Tripathi, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Rinku Singh, Jitesh Sharma (wk), Tilak Varma, Shahbaz Ahmed, Ravi Bishnoi, Avesh Khan, Washington Sundar, Shivam Mavi, Mukesh Kumar, Arshdeep Singh, Prabhsimran Singh (wk), Shivam Dube.

Players who are on standby– Deepak Hooda, Sai Kishore, Sai Sudarshan, Venkatesh Iyer, Yash Thakur.

According to the Times of India VVS Laxman will be the head coach of Indian team in Asian Games 2023.

Asian Games 2023 Men’s Cricket Teams Fixtures

Just two days back it was announced that the men’s team have got a direct entry into the quarter-finals. India have got a chance to at least win a bronze medal but for that, they need to win the quarter-final game. The following are the dates for men’s fixtures after they got a direct entry into the quarter-finals:

October 5th- Quarter Finals

October 6th- Semi-Finals

October 7th – Final

Note- A few days back ICC banned Harmapreet Kaur for 2 matches. In this condition, Smriti Mandhana may lead the women’s side

Asian Games 2023 Women’s Team Fixtures

Just like the men’s team, it was recently announced that the women’s team has also got a direct entry into the quarterfinals. The women in blue have got a chance to make history by winning the gold but it all depends on how they play in the quarter-finals.
