Virat Kohli Becomes Only Indian to Achieve 900+ ICC Rating in All Three Formats. In the latest ICC ratings, Virat Kohli achieved the highest-ever T20I batting rating of 909. This makes him the only Indian cricketer to ever have had a greater than 900 rating points for all three forms of international cricket (Tests, ODIs, and T20Is) in history.
Kohli Joins T20I Elites with 909 Rating, Ranks Among the Best
This updated rating moves Kohli to third on the T20I all-time batting ratings. He is just behind teammate Suryakumar Yadav (912) and Dawid Malan (915). Kohli last touched this peak of T20I batting in 2014. He was playing some of the best white-ball cricket of his career with match-winning performances, particularly in ICC tournaments and high-pressure run chases.

Kohli previously scaled 911 rating points in ODIs in 2018, where he was the highest-rated Indian at the time for 50-over cricket. Kohli also reached 937 rating points in Tests that same year. It is still listed as among the ten greatest Test batting ratings in history.
This accomplishment, which is virtually unheard of, further showcases Kohli’s complete mastery across all formats and highlights his ability to adapt, consistently perform, and excel in all conditions and cricket formats. Whereas other players have performed extremely well in some of the three formats of international cricket, Kohli’s statistical achievements across all three formats are unrivalled by any Indian cricketer.

The International Cricket Council player ratings are a thorough measure of performance that factors in the opposition’s ability, performance in match situations, and consistency. To be rated over 900 is a criterion of greatness, and being rated over 900 in all three formats is beyond greatness.
With this recent update, Kohli has established himself as India’s greatest all-format batter and one of the most complete players of the modern game.
