Saurabh Tiwary and Shahbaz Nadeem Elected to Key Roles in Jharkhand Cricket Association. In a landmark move for Jharkhand cricket, former India internationals Saurabh Tiwary and Shahbaz Nadeem have been designated as secretary and joint secretary of the Jharkhand State Cricket Association, respectively. Their appointments came after the Congress leader Ajay Nath Shahdeo’s panel romped to victory in the JSCA elections held on Sunday.

The elections were held securely at the JSCA International Stadium Complex in Ranchi. With Shahdeo taking over as the president of the association. In other key positions, Shahdeo’s men had Sanjay Pandey put in as vice president and Amitava Ghosh as treasurer. With Tiwary and Nadeem taking their respective positions.

Saurabh Tiwary had played three ODIs for India. He was at one point considered to be the successor of MS Dhoni. He and Shabaz Nadeem retired in 2024. The arrival of these former players into administration has surely aroused hope in the cricketing world. So that their experience on the field will be put to good use in governance and grassroots-level development in Jharkhand.

President Shahdeo thanked voters and reiterated his and the team’s plans for enhancing cricket infrastructure in the state. Shahdeo also said that he would be launching a state premier league for cricket players to give local talent exposure and improve preparations for Jharkhand’s domestic tournament participation.
