RCB Victory Parade: 11 Dead, Over 50 Injured in Stampede Near Chinnaswamy Stadium. The initial celebration was swept away in terror, for there was a stampede outside M. Chinnaswamy Stadium during Royal Challengers Bangalore’s (RCB) IPL 2025 victory parade. Reports say at least 11 have died, and many more have been injured.
The stampede took place as thousands of fans had congregated to celebrate the first-ever IPL victory of RCB. Eyewitnesses told media about chaos with people being crushed and suffocated as the crowd surged towards the stadium gates. Emergency aid could hardly negotiate its way through the dreadfully huge crowd to reach the injured.
The Karnataka state government has announced that a high-level inquiry into the incident will be held. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar have been visiting the injured in hospitals and assuring them that care will be ensured to prevent any such occurrences in the future.
RCB’s victory parade was a happy moment for fans. Sadly, the celebrations for RCB fans have been tarnished by this tragedy. The team and officials have expressed sorrow about the situation and extended condolences to the families of the dead.
