IPL 2025: Mustafizur Rahman Granted NOC to Join Delhi Capitals for Final League Matches. Mustafizur Rahman has received a No Objection Certificate from the Bangladesh Board of Cricket to participate in the final league matches of the Indian Premier League 2025. He will join the Delhi Capitals between May 18 and May 24 while taking part in their last three league-stage matches and will provide a much-needed boost to the team as they look to secure a spot in the playoffs.

Mustafizur is currently with the Bangladesh national team, which is in the UAE, and he will play the first T20I of a two-match series on May 17 and depart shortly after to join the IPL franchise in India. While believed to miss the second T20I set for May 19, he will properly come back into the fold to complete duties for Bangladesh, which has a five-match T20I series against Pakistan commencing on May 25 in Faisalabad.

Delhi Capitals went with Mustafizur based on Australian batter Jake Fraser-McGurk, who pulled out of the IPL due to unsuitable personal conditions. Mustafizur has high-quality international and franchise experience, especially due to his cutter grip and under-pressure delivery for the last overs.

Delhi Capitals will take on Gujarat Titans on May 18 and then have two more matches on May 21 and May 24. Mustafizur will also be available for all three matches and will add experience and depth as they set their sights on qualifying for the top four.

The BCB short-term NOC can be seen as a good balancing act, giving Mustafizur an opportunity to serve his IPL franchise whilst keeping Bangladesh’s preparation for the Pakistan series strong.
