IPL 2025: Kagiso Rabada Cleared to Play, Major Boost for Gujarat Titans. Kagiso Rabada, the fast bowler from South Africa, has been cleared to return to play after having served the remainder of a one-month suspension imposed for a recreational drug violation.

The South African Institute for Drug-Free Sport (SAIDS) confirmed that the ban had initially been for three months. But due to Rabada having attended and participated in a drug education and awareness programme, it was reduced to one month. The violation occurred during the SA20 tournament earlier this year. Rabada tested positive for a banned substance following a match between MI Cape Town and Durban Super Giants on 21 January.

Rabada, who had appeared in two matches for Gujarat Titans prior to his suspension, was deeply remorseful concerning the violation. Now that the ban has been overturned, Rabada can play the remainder of the IPL season. He can soon rejoin the Gujarat Titans team. GT confirmed that he will play in the next match against the Mumbai Indians.
