Australia has been through several issues ahead of the ODI series against India, as many critical players are unavailable due to injury or other reasons. Captain Pat Cummins and all-rounder Cameron Green are ruled out of the series. Josh Inglis, Adam Zampa, and Alex Carey will all miss the first games, forcing last-minute changes to the squad before their opening.
