IND vs ENG 4th Test: Jadeja And Sundar Force a Draw in Old Trafford Thriller. India put up a resolute batting effort on Day 5 to draw the fourth Test against England and keep the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy series alive at 2-1 heading into the part-decider at The Oval.
Chasing a daunting 311 runs to make England bat again after their massive first innings total of 669, India were rocked early when they lost both of their openers for ducks in the first over. But Captain Shubman Gill led the charge with a steely 103—his fourth century of the series and the foundation of India’s rallying effort.
KL Rahul provided solid support with a battling 90 as he and Shubman Gill faced a barrage of deliveries during a relentless onslaught, before Rahul fell to a vicious delivery from Ben Stokes that struck his twisted, injured knee.

Jadeja and Sundar Steal the Show
The decisive moment came when Ravindra Jadeja (107*) and Washington Sundar (101*) batted through almost two sessions of play without losing a wicket. By the time stumps were called, India had posted 425/4. The unbroken double-century partnership rescued India from defeat.
By reaching five scores of 50 or more in a Test series batting from No. 6 or lower, Jadeja equaled Sir Garfield Sobers’ 59-year record. Stokes was named Player of the Match for his all-around performance, which included scoring 141 runs and taking six wickets.
Controversy emerged late on Day 5 when India hesitated to accept England’s handshake proposal after allowing both batters to achieve their milestones, which was met with mixed responses from commentators.
