India posts a challenging total
India, after winning the toss, chose to bat first and quickly reached 247 all out in 50 overs. While no individual batter made the half-century mark, Harleen Deol (46), Smriti Mandhana (23), Pratika Rawal (31), and Richa Ghosh (35 off 20 balls)* helped put in a competitive total, getting India past the 240-run line before she was dismissed. Pakistan’s Chase Ends Disappointingly

The high-stakes encounter did not lack for drama. A contentious run-out of Muneeba Ali was a hot topic for conversation, and a brief infestation of bugs caused a break in play. In addition, the captains, Harmanpreet Kaur and Fatima Sana, dodged the pre-match handshake, souring the rivalry.
