IPL 2025: Sunrisers Hyderabad Sign Harsh Dubey as Injury Replacement Of Smaran Ravichandran. The 22-year-old Vidarbha all-rounder, Harsh Dubey, joins the Sunrisers as an injury substitute for Smaran Ravichandran. Smaran, unfortunately, will not feature in the remainder of IPL 2025.
Dubey heads the Indian domestic circuit with 127 wickets and 941 runs across all formats. He had played 16 T20 matches, 20 List A matches, and 18 first-class matches. As a left-arm spinner and a lower-order batting option, Dubey would bolster SRH’s spin bowling arsenal as they aim to build on whatever momentum they have in the second half of the season.
Earlier, on 14 April, the franchise had signed the Tamil Nadu bowling all-rounder, Smaran Ravichandran, as a replacement for Australian leg-spinner Adam Zampa when he was ruled out of the season due to injury.

The SRH stand currently mid-table and are going through a few changes as they go out to stabilize their lineup. The inclusion of Harsh Dubey will add a little more depth to Hyderabad’s bowling, especially considering spin-friendly pitches. Smaran’s injury is said to keep him out for the rest of the season. But no official reason has been given. Sunrisers Hyderabad will be hoping that Dubey gets into action very soon.
