Latest ICC Men’s Test, ODI and T20I Rankings: The updated rankings were released by the ICC for the men’s teams across the Test, ODI, and T20I formats in its annual update. The rankings were released at the beginning of May in 2025 and take into consideration the performance of national teams over the past year, with greater emphasis on very recent results. This yearly update has caused significant changes in several teams’ rankings, particularly in the case of ODI and T20I matches, in which India has now taken the top position.

ICC Men’s Test Team Rankings

Australian men have continued to be on top of the Test rankings with a rating of 126, showing consistency in the longest format. England is way down in second place at 113 points, followed by South Africa at 111. Meanwhile, India sits in fourth place with a rating of 105, and New Zealand closes the top five with 95 points.

ICC Men’s ODI Team Rankings

Victory in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, held in the UAE, has ensured that Team India maintains its number one position in the ODI rankings with 124 points. New Zealand is second with 109 points, but as per the finer decimal points, Australia may be said to be third also with 109 points. Sri Lanka has mustered a great surge to fourth position with 104 points after series wins against India and Australia.

ICC Men’s Twenty20 Team Rankings

India continues to rule the T20I rankings with a rating of 271. Australia, with 262 points, is second and is steadily closing in on the leaders. England is at number three with 254 points, followed by New Zealand with 249 and the West Indies with 246. This is the first time the rankings have comprised 100 teams, showing growth in global participation in the shortest version of the game.
