WI vs PAK: Pakistan Clinch Another T20I Series Win Over West Indies In Florida. Pakistan beat West Indies by 13 runs in the third and final T20I at Central Broward Park in Lauderhill and clinched the series 2-1. The visitors successfully defended a strong opening stand by disciplined spin bowling, securing yet another T20I series victory against the Caribbean nation.
Ayub-Farhan partnership sets the platform
Batting first, Pakistan got off to a rapid start, with openers Saim Ayub and Sahibzada Farhan putting a partnership of 138 runs together. Ayub played aggressively and showed good form, while Farhan provided a steady response. Pakistan made a total that was competitive enough with the stingy bowling attack Pakistan fielded to make it a chaseable score on a flat surface.
The West Indies started strong and lost their way in the middle overs. Pakistan’s spinners kept the runs at bay and did not allow the West Indies to settle into a rhythm, especially Sufiyan Muqeem and Mohammad Nawaz. Muqeem bowled a critical 18th over, only going for three runs while taking a key wicket, which dismantled the West Indies chase. The host fell short by 13 runs despite a couple of absent blows.
Earlier in the series, Pakistan took the series lead with a 14-run victory in the first T20I, led by Ayub and Nawaz, while West Indies bounced back with a last-ball victory in the second match with a brilliant all-round performance by Jason Holder.
