These Two RCB Players Are Changing Their Domestic Teams Ahead of the 2025–26 Season. According to reports, wicketkeeper-batter Jitesh Sharma may leave Vidarbha for Baroda in a domestic transfer ahead of the 2025-26 season. At the same time, his Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) teammate Swapnil Singh is likely to go from Uttarakhand to Tripura.
Jitesh, 31, has asked for a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from Vidarbha to make the move to Baroda. There, he would have a major role under Krunal Pandya, his teammate in RCB. Jitesh hasn’t had the opportunity to play a Ranji Trophy match for Vidarbha in the last two seasons. Akshay Wadkar consistently took the wicketkeeper position. Baroda provides him a better chance of getting continuous first-class opportunities to get himself going after his strong IPL 2025, where he scored 85* for RCB.
Swapnil Singh, the left-arm spinner who took 18 wickets in the 2024-25 Ranji season for Uttarakhand, is believed to be moving to Tripura from Uttarakhand. Although Swapnil has been retained by RCB using the RTM clause, he did not get any game time for them in IPL 2025. But still managed to keep busy through domestic matches and TNPL. So, a move to Tripura could offer him a greater role in a working squad.

Both moves are part of a larger trend of IPL-linked domestic upheaval. Players are seeking better opportunities to play and hold positions of leadership. With both experience and form, Jitesh and Swapnil will be integral players for their new teams this coming season.
