IPL 2026: PBKS Beat CSK By 5 Wickets In High-Scoring Thriller At Chepauk. Chennai Super Kings faced Punjab Kings in a run-filled contest at Chepauk. Punjab Kings chased 210 runs and won by five wickets. They completed the chase in 18.4 overs with a strong batting display. CSK batted first and scored 209 runs for five wickets in 20 overs. Young batter Ayush Mhatre played a brilliant knock for his team. He scored 73 runs from 43 balls with six fours and five sixes.
Shivam Dube supported him well with an unbeaten 45 off 27 balls. Sarfaraz Khan played a quick cameo of 32 runs from just 12 balls. Ruturaj Gaikwad scored 28 runs but could not convert his start. Sanju Samson got out early after scoring only seven runs. CSK built momentum in the middle overs and finished strongly. They looked confident after crossing the 200-run mark. Vijaykumar Vyshak was the best PBKS bowler with two wickets. Yuzvendra Chahal bowled economically and picked one wicket.

PBKS Chase
Punjab Kings started the chase aggressively. Priyansh Arya gave a flying start to the innings. He smashed 39 runs from only 11 balls at a huge strike rate. PBKS reached 61 runs in just 4.2 overs during the power play. Prabhsimran Singh added 43 runs and kept the innings steady. Cooper Connolly scored 36 runs and built useful partnerships. Captain Shreyas Iyer led from the front with a solid half-century. He scored 50 runs from 29 balls under pressure.

PBKS lost a few quick wickets in the middle overs. The score reached 186 for five, creating some tension. Shashank Singh and Marcus Stoinis finished the chase calmly. They ensured there were no late surprises in the match. Matt Henry and Anshul Kamboj picked two wickets each for CSK. Other bowlers struggled to control runs on a batting pitch.
