IPL 2026: MCA Stadium Pune Likely to Become Rajasthan Royals’ Home Ground

IPL 2026: RR Homeground

IPL 2026: MCA Stadium Pune Likely to Become Rajasthan Royals’ Home Ground. Rajasthan Royals are likely to play their IPL 2026 home matches in Pune. Reports suggest the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium is the preferred venue. The move is still pending final approval from the Board of Control for Cricket in India. Rajasthan Royals have faced issues with the Rajasthan Cricket Association in recent seasons. These differences have made Jaipur an uncertain home option for the franchise. As a result, the Royals started exploring other venues for IPL 2026.

Why Pune?

Pune has quickly emerged as the strongest alternative for the team. The MCA Stadium offers world-class facilities and smooth match operations. It has a seating capacity of over 40,000 spectators. The stadium has earlier hosted IPL matches and international fixtures successfully. Sources say Royals officials recently visited the Pune venue. They reviewed pitch conditions, training areas, and player facilities. Hotel availability and airport connectivity were also checked carefully. Initial feedback from the franchise side has been very positive.

If approved, the Rajasthan Royals may play four home matches in Pune. Some home games could still be hosted in Guwahati, as in previous seasons. This multi-venue model helps the franchise reach more fans. The MCA Stadium is also attracting interest from other IPL teams. However, the Rajasthan Royals are believed to be ahead in discussions. MCA officials are reportedly open to hosting the Royals for IPL 2026.

Pune fans could enjoy top-level IPL cricket again after several years. The city earlier supported teams like Pune Warriors and Rising Pune Supergiant. A Royals move would bring strong crowds and festive match atmospheres.
