IPL 2025: Travis Head Tests Positive For COVID-19, To Miss SRH vs LSG Clash. Sunrisers Hyderabad will be without the services of the star opening batsman Travis Head in their next IPL 2025 fixture against Lucknow Super Giants on Monday, May 19. The Australian cricketer has tested positive for COVID-19. Head coach Daniel Vettori confirmed the development during the pre-match press conference on Sunday.

Head, along with SRH captain Pat Cummins, had returned to Australia after the league was temporarily suspended due to escalating tensions between India and Pakistan. While Cummins has since linked back with the team, Head’s return was delayed due to his COVID-19 diagnosis. He is expected to arrive in India on Monday morning, though his participation in any remaining matches will be subject to medical clearances.

SRH, ranked eighth in the standings, has so far gathered 11 points out of their 11 matches. Therefore, already been out of the playoffs. They have been suffering from inconsistent form throughout the season. The head’s absence is a significant setback to their challenge this time.

The match against LSG is slated to be held at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow. With Head unavailable, SRH will have to rejig their lineup and hope to end the season with a win.
