India Announced Squad For Women’s World Cup 2025. The BCCI has formally announced the 15-member Indian women’s cricket squad for the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025 starting September 30 on home soil. Harmanpreet Kaur will be leading with Smriti Mandhana as vice-captain. It is a good blend of established players and new upcoming stars, providing the best chance of lifting the trophy with home fans behind the team.
India’s 15-Member Squad
Harmanpreet Kaur (C), Smriti Mandhana (VC), Pratika Rawal, Harleen Deol, Jemimah Rodrigues, Richa Ghosh (WK), Yastika Bhatia (WK), Deepti Sharma, Sneh Rana, Amanjot Kaur, Radha Yadav, Sree Charani, Kranti Goud, Arundhati Reddy, and Renuka Thakur.
The squad shows a strong emphasis on balance across all departments. Batting depth through Mandhana, Rodrigues, and Harleen Deol, wicketkeeper options with Richa Ghosh and Yastika Bhatia, while all-rounders Deepti Sharma, Sneh Rana, and Amanjot Kaur strengthen the middle order.
There is famed pace and spin variety in the bowling unit. Renuka Thakur and Arundhati Reddy are first up as fast bowlers. The backup spinners, Radha Yadav and Sree Charani, are also seasoned performers. Names like Pratika Rawal and Kranti Goud are rewarded for domestic performances and breaking through into the squad. A significant omission is dynamic opener Shafali Verma, as selectors are undergoing the consistency and form of previous reputations and output.
