IND vs WI: India Complete 2–0 Sweep Over West Indies, Jadeja Named Player of the Series. India maintained their home dominance with a 2–0 series sweep over the West Indies, defeating the visitors by seven wickets in the second Test at Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi. The win also marked India’s 10th Test series victory over the West Indies, starting in 2002. This also matched the record of South Africa between 1998 and 2024 with 10 consecutive series victories over the West Indies.
Batting first, India scored a massive 518/5 declared, with Yashasvi Jaiswal contributing a great 175 and Shubman Gill an unbeaten 129. Both batters displayed tremendous patience and class while setting a strong base for the hosts. India’s top order dominated with great contributions from Sai Sudharsan (87) and KL Rahul (38).
The West Indies showed a creditable fight led by early centuries from John Campbell (115) and Shai Hope (103). However, the West Indies suffered a collapse under the weight of Kuldeep Yadav’s five-for of 5/82 and Ravi Jadeja’s 3/65, finishing the West Indies innings at 272. The West Indies fought back again after following on, with Justin Greaves and Jayden Seales putting on a gutsy seventh-wicket partnership of 79 before succumbing at 390.
India’s 2nd innings Highlights
In pursuit of 121 runs for victory, India lost a couple of early wickets but was unfazed. KL Rahul (58)* led the team to victory with a confident innings, supported by Sai Sudharsan (39), as India won in the last session of Day 5.

Once again, the series proved India’s strength and depth, with both batters and bowlers all contributing regularly. Kuldeep Yadav won the player of the match. Ravindra Jadeja was undoubtedly the star — he scored his 6th Test century, took 8 wickets, and was named Player of the Match in Ahmedabad. He also fully and deservedly won Player of the Series, reinforcing his credentials as India’s most dependable all-rounder.
