With Jadeja’s 27th Test fifty registered, he moved over the 500-run mark in the series, as well as now holding the most historic records in Test cricket in England for India.

Most 50+ Scores at No.6 or Below in England

In another composed half-century in the fifth Test, Jadeja recorded his fifth 50+ score in the series, the most by an Indian batter at No. 6 or lower in a Test series in England. It is also the first time an Indian batsman has scored over 500 runs in a series in England while batting primarily in the lower-middle order.

He has stepped up to every challenge, repeatedly getting important partnerships and giving a steadying hand after the fall of the first wickets. Jadeja’s 516 runs have come at an amazing average of 86, and this is now his highest-scoring Test series.

Jadeja has now also tied West Indies great Sir Garfield Sobers for the most 50+ runs scored (5) at No. 6 or below in a Test series in England, after 59 years without being challenged at the top of the list.
