ICC Announces Team of the Tournament for ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026. The ICC announced the Team of the Tournament for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 after the thrilling competition ended.
Players from several teams were included after delivering match-winning performances during the tournament in India and Sri Lanka.
Pakistan opener Sahibzada Farhan was selected after an outstanding campaign. He finished as the tournament’s highest run-scorer with 383 runs in seven matches. Farhan also scored two centuries and maintained an impressive strike rate above 160. India’s Sanju Samson was chosen as the wicketkeeper after a remarkable tournament. Samson scored 321 runs in five innings with an average of 80.25. He also smashed 89 runs in the final, the highest score in a T20 World Cup final.

Four Indian Players in the team
Fellow Indian opener Ishan Kishan also earned selection after scoring 317 runs in nine matches. Kishan played several aggressive knocks, including a quick half-century in the final. South Africa’s Aiden Markram was named captain of the team of the tournament. Markram scored 286 runs in eight matches at an average close to 48. He also hit three important half-centuries during the tournament.
India all-rounder Hardik Pandya secured a place after contributing with both bat and ball. England’s Will Jacks was also included after playing several explosive innings. The West Indies all-rounder Jason Holder strengthened the middle order with his all-round abilities. Holder was impressed with both finishing skills and useful bowling spells. India’s pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah led the bowling attack after an outstanding tournament. Bumrah took 14 wickets in eight matches with an excellent economy rate. He also delivered a crucial spell in the final.
South Africa fast bowler Lungi Ngidi earned selection after taking key wickets in important matches. England leg-spinner Adil Rashid was included after controlling the middle overs effectively. Zimbabwe pacer Blessing Muzarabani also impressed with his pace and bounce throughout the tournament. He consistently troubled top batting lineups. The ICC also named the USA’s Shadley van Schalkwyk as the 12th player. He took 13 wickets and delivered several economical bowling spells.
