In a major move before the IPL 2026 season, the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) have appointed former Indian all-rounder Abhishek Nayar to be their new head coach. It represents a significant shift for the two-time IPL champions as Nayar takes the job from Chandrakant Pandit and continues the KKR success story and legacy.
Nayar, who has recently been part of the KKR organisation as an assistant coach and consultant, will continue to help KKR’s pipeline, which is filled with their assortment of young players.
