KKR Part Ways With Head Coach Chandrakant Pandit And Bowling Coach Bharat Arun. KKR has mutually parted ways with head coach Chandrakant Pandit and bowling coach Bharat Arun. The team finished 8th on the points table. A big change to the overall support staff’s structure for IPL 2026.

Chandrakant Pandit, who started the job in August 2022, had a mixed bag during his three-season stint, having led KKR to success in the IPL title in 2024 – their third title. But failed to build on that in IPL 2025, where they won just five out of 14 matches.

Mixed Results During Pandit’s Tenure

During Pandit’s coaching, KKR played 42 matches, winning 22, losing 18, and drawing two. His disciplined and experienced domestic nature played a significant role in shaping KKR’s structure. But given a lack of finish to the season, consideration for a change in leadership was deemed important.

Former India national team bowling coac, Bharat Arun also left KKR with Pandit. An official announcement has not yet been made. However, reports suggest KKR may go in another direction by bringing in new names that align with fresh ideas to bring together a new coaching unit.

It appears that associate coach Abhishek Nayar is going to be elevated to a more permanent position. Dwayne Bravo will be travelling as the team mentor. While KKR will announce its new head coach and support staff in the next few months, after which they will aim to make a strong return in IPL 2026.
