This T20 World Cup edition will be monumental with 55 matches, 20 teams, and one world champion at the end. The ICC’s primary goal is to grant access to every fan across the tournament. ICC has remarkably announced the low entry-level prices. The starting price for tickets in India is ₹100 and LKR 1000 in Sri Lanka. This means that families, students, and young supporters can easily watch the world’s best cricketers live in the stands.
Historic Low Prices to Boost Stadium Attendance
Mr Sanjog Gupta, the ICC CEO, spoke about affordability and inclusivity as the organisation’s main priorities.
“With tickets starting from just ₹100 and LKR 1000, we are putting affordability at the centre of our strategy. This is about opening the gates wide and inviting millions to be part of a global celebration of cricket, not as spectators from afar, but as active participants in the energy, emotion, and magic that only a stadium can offer.”
ICC has also released a marketing image featuring the best players from each country competing in the tournament. The battle for the championship will not only be between Australia, India, Sri Lanka, England, Pakistan, South Africa, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, West Indies, New Zealand, Ireland, Scotland, and Nepal but also among the teams that have yet to qualify, illustrating the broad spectrum of the 20-team lineup that will be fighting for glory when the tournament starts on February 7, 2026.
