The tournament is co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka, scheduled to take place from February 7 to March 8, 2026. This will be the largest edition of this tournament to date, with 20 teams competing. The tournament will begin with group games and culminate with the final in India/Sri Lanka.

Games will take place across both host nations in world-famous stadiums such as Eden Gardens in Kolkata, Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, M. A. Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai, Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi, and Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Sri Lanka will also host matches in Colombo and Kandy. The semi-finals have been scheduled for Kolkata and Mumbai, with Ahmedabad hosting the grand final.
There will be 4 groups of 5 teams each in the first stage of the tournament. From each group, the 2 teams at the top will go to the Super 8 stage, then on to the semi-finals and finally to the finals. One of the most-awaited matches of the tournament is on February 15 when India takes on Pakistan.
