BCCI Announces Updated Venues for India’s Tests Against West Indies and South Africa in 2025. Another update for Team India’s international home season sees the BCCI endorse smart venue switches for two significant Test matches scheduled for this year. The adjusted schedule is around India’s red-ball fixtures versus West Indies and South Africa, who share the 2025 home calendar with India.

According to the revised itinerary, the 2nd Test of the West Indies tour of India, previously scheduled for Kolkata, will now be played in New Delhi from October 10 to 14, 2025. And hence, the 1st Test of the South Africa series will be shifted to Kolkata from New Delhi, to be played from November 14 to 18, 2025. The BCCI has indeed confirmed these changes while assuring that the rest of the schedule remains untouched.

Updated Test Schedule:

West Indies Tour of India 2025

1st Test: October 2–6, 2025, Ahmedabad.

2nd Test: October 10–14, 2025, New Delhi.

South Africa A Tour of India 2025

1st Test: November 14–18, 2025, Kolkata.

2nd Test: November 22–26, 2025, Guwahati.

Rest Schedule (Unchanged):

The white-ball leg for South Africa features 3 ODIs and 5 T20Is in Ranchi, Raipur, Vizag, Cuttack, New Chandigarh, Dharamsala, Lucknow, and Ahmedabad. White-ball matches will come upon the calendar on November 30 and go till December 19, 2025.

This reshuffling of venues has come with the logistical realignment of the 2025 home season to ensure the best crowd engagement and readiness for match days at main stadiums.
