Oman’s bowlers fought back well in the middle overs, with Aamir Kaleem picking up 3 for 31 and Shah Faisal claiming 3 for 34, as they restricted Pakistan from passing 170.
Oman under the pressure
In reply, Oman’s fragile batting line-up buckled under consistent pressure from Pakistan’s bowlers. Only a couple of batters made it into double figures as wickets fell consistently, and ultimately Oman were bowled out for 67 in 16.4 overs for a comprehensive loss.

The turning point of the match was certainly Haris’ counter-attacking inning. It gave Pakistan breathing space after they lost Saim Ayub for a golden duck. The bowlers then ensured that Oman wouldn’t recover from this point.
