IPL 2026 Auction: Six Uncapped Batters Who Could Spark Bidding Wars If Released. As IPL 2025 ended with RCB lifted their maiden trohpy, the focus turns to the 2026 auction. Young uncapped fast bowlers have stood out this season. If they get released by their franchises, bidding could soar. Here are six young players who could spark bidding wars if released:

1. Anshul Kamboj (CSK)

CSK signed him for ₹3.4 crore as they were impressed with his ability to swing the ball. The young pace bowler from Haryana is relatively new to the game, but the skill he has under pressure, combined with his innate aggression, means he will be attracting the attention of any team looking for a fierce new-ball bowler. He took 8 wickets in 8 matches for CSK with the best figure of 3/13.

2. Digvesh Rathi (LSG)

Leg-spinner Digvesh Rathi has burst onto the stage, firstly winning some fans and attention with his control and secondly with his ability to take wickets. Rathi’s ‘notebook celebration’ may have gotten him in the news for both praise and controversy, but it should be remembered that he contributed with consistent breakthroughs during the middle overs. If released by LSG, Rathi has enough personality and quality to attract serious interest from franchises. He took 14 wickets for Lucknow in 13 matches.

3. Vignesh Puthur (Mumbai Indians)

Kerala’s Vignesh Puthur shone with a fantastic IPL debut, toppling Chennai Super Kings with big wickets. A left-arm wrist spinner — a rare breed — Puthur’s variations and key trait of thriving under pressure offer tactical depth. Sharp scouting by Mumbai flagged Puthur as a serious game-changer, so other teams will be keeping tabs on him.

4. Rasikh Dar (Royal Challengers Bengaluru)

J & K pacer Rasikh was the costliest uncapped bowler in the 2025 auction at ₹6 crores. He has made a name with speeds over 140 kmph, and just as impressive is his control at the death as he bowls half-overs for Royal Challengers Bengaluru. You can count on Rasikh, and he has shown the natural growth and composure of a bowler who would set ablaze a bidding war if released back into the IPL 2026 auction.

5. Suyash Sharma (Royal Challengers Bengaluru)

Suyash Sharma played a key role in RCB’s IPL 2025 final push, offering smart wrist spin. The quirky style should be familiar, as Suyash dismissed Punjab Kings’ middle order in an outstanding spell during Qualifier 1, taking three wickets and becoming player of the match. With more experience to plan with flair, numerous teams could reach for Suyash if he were to re-enter the IPL 2026 auction pool.

6. Ashwani Kumar (Mumbai Indians)

Ashwani Kumar made a name for himself on the IPL stage with an outstanding debut for MI with 4/24. He displayed serious pace and some swing, and he drew comparisons to some of the best tier-2 and tier-3 Indian bowlers of past eras. Given Mumbai’s extensive history of developing future stars, if he happens to be made available, he may be a desirable player in the IPL 2026 auction.
